For Kenyan schools · CBC aligned

Run your whole school — even with no internet

Shule Breeze is an offline-first school management platform. Learners, CBC assessment, attendance, timetables, fees and parents live in one system that keeps running when the network drops, then synchronises automatically the moment signal returns. No lost registers. No end-of-term data entry marathon.

See the sync engine work

This is the part that decides whether a school management system is usable in a Kenyan classroom. Cut the network in the middle of a lesson: the teacher keeps taking the register, keeps scoring the activity, keeps adding learners. Nothing is submitted to a server that is not there.

  1. Offline — the device detects no connection and carries on.
  2. Local database — every change is committed to IndexedDB and queued.
  3. Internet detected — the sync engine wakes up, by itself.
  4. Synchronising — the queue is uploaded in small batches.
  5. Cloud database — records land in PostgreSQL, grouped by school.
  6. ✓ Synchronisation complete — with any conflicts listed for review.
  • Teachers keep working on phone, tablet or computer.
  • Administrators can see exactly what has reached the cloud.
  • Every record carries the school it belongs to, so one school can never read another's data.

No conflicts

Try this: switch on Simulate no internet, then take attendance and record a payment. Turn the switch back off and the queue uploads by itself. A record occasionally collides with a server-side edit — your copy is kept and flagged rather than silently overwritten.

Built for CBC, not adapted to it

Assessment follows the structure your school actually uses: class, learning area, strand, sub-strand, activity, then the learners. Competency levels, teacher comments, projects and practical activities are all recorded against the right strand, so end-of-term reports are assembled rather than typed.

Set up in an afternoon

Register the school, then work down the wizard: academic year, terms, classes, streams, teachers, learners, fee structure. The dashboard opens when the last step is done. Import an existing Excel register instead of typing 500 learners.

What happens when the internet is down?

Nothing stops. Attendance, assessments, learner registration, payments and messages are all written to the device and queued. When the connection returns, the queue is uploaded in batches and the Sync Centre confirms exactly how many records were sent. If two people changed the same record, both versions are kept and the difference is flagged for an administrator to resolve.

How is one school's data kept separate?

Every record belongs to a school. A user in one school can never query another school's rows, and a parent only ever sees their own children. Access is granted by role — super admin, school administrator, headteacher, teacher, accountant, parent — and every action is written to an audit log.

Is our learners' data safe?

Shule Breeze handles children's personal details and school money, so security is designed in rather than added later: strong password hashing, two-factor authentication for sensitive accounts, HTTPS everywhere, automated database backups, session management, login history and an audit trail of every change. Ask us for the full security brief.

What does it cost, and what if we outgrow it?

Monthly or annual subscription, priced by learner count, with a free trial so you can run a real term on it before deciding. Upgrade, downgrade or renew at any time, and your data stays exportable throughout. Each school can add its own logo, colours, address and report-card design, so the software reads as your school — ABC Academy, powered by Shule Breeze.

Simple subscription, per learner

Every plan includes offline mode, automatic synchronisation and your own school branding.

What the numbers mean Product facts, not marketing claims: sixteen modules ship in the first release, five roles control access, and a parent can be reached by SMS, email or push notification. Replace this strip with your own adoption figures once you have them.
